MAGIS armchair PROUST (White - Polyethylene)

The Magis Proust armchair by Alessandro Mendini, presented at the last Salone del Mobile in Milan, is now available in stores. It is a rotationally molded polyethylene version of the famous 1978 armchair, which Alessandro Mendini himself describes to us in this way: "I believe that this work of mine called 'Proust Armchair' is now quite well known to many people. It is a romantic baroque armchair, on which infinite polychrome dots are hand-painted, using the divisionist technique. Dots that invade the entire structure, on the fabric and on the wood decorations. It is a work of Re-DESIGN. In fact, it is the result of a collage between a faux-antique armchair and the detail of a meadow by the French painter Signac. Since 1978, the Proust armchair has undergone continuous variations in colors, materials and dimensions, to the point of being made in ceramic, bronze, and has traveled all over the world and in many museums. Here is now a truly unexpected novelty. A paradox that comes true. The "The Proust armchair" becomes an industrial object molded in rotational plastic. Here is the new "Magis Proust" armchair.
